Harley-Davidson Motor Company
The American brand is known for its iconic bikes that changed the muscle section in motorcycles forever. It started as a small company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903 under William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson.
The brand is famous among those who believe in customizing their bikes to instil a personal touch in them. These bikes are heavy duty and are equally popular among petrolheads and police/military. In fact, it is one of the most legendary bikes in the world.
Moto Guzzi
It is an Italian company that is also the oldest motorcycle manufacturing brand in Europe. Most of its bikes have an air-cooled 90 V-twin engine with a longitudinal crankshaft orientation. The company came into existence in 1921 in Mandello del Lario for manufacturing sports bikes for the international market. The company is also known as the first motorcycle to come with a centre stand, eight-cylinder engine and wind tunnel.

It is the largest motorcycle producer of the United Kingdom, famous for its sophisticated British looks, with headquarters in Leicestershire- England. As of 2017, its revenue is 498.5 million pounds and it gained 24.7 million pounds as net income while employing 2000 employees.
The company develops motorcycles in categories like classics, modern classics, roadsters, cruisers, super sports and touring. Bonneville is its most popular and celebrated motorcycles till date.
Honda
Apart from producing motorcycles, the company also develops power equipment and aircrafts. It is the largest motorcycle producer in the world while topping the list for producing engines dedicated for internal combustion. It is also the first Japanese company to launch a luxury brand named Acura. It earned 344.5 billion yen in 2016 while employing 208,399 people.
Suzuki
Another Japanese company made it to the list as in 2011 it become the highest unit producing Motorcycle Company of the world. It has its headquarters in Hamamatsu, Japan and was established in 1909 by Michio Suzuki.
Initially it was dedicated to producing weaving machines but then changed its focus to automobiles to meet the market demand in Japan. Power free was the first motorcycle produced by them that saw immense successes. By 1954, the company was able to produce 6000 bikes each month.
Yamaha
The multinational corporation is headquartered in Shizuoka, Japan and deals with musical instruments, motorcycles and sports gears. The company came into existence in 1887 with the name Nippon Gakki Company, Ltd. After the success of their first motorcycle- YA 1, it focused its resources on automobile production.
The company has also developed boats, scooters, war crafts etc. It earned 447, 70 million Japanese Yen in 2017 as net income and employed 20,348 employees in 2016.
